We are looking for a Video Editor – (Post) Production (m/f/d) with proven experience to join the ION Water, ION Bike, and SQLab marketing teams. ION develops premium water sports equipment and apparel for the international surf, kite, and foil community, as well as innovative bike protection and apparel under ION Bike. SQLab stands for ergonomically optimized bike components, developed with scientific expertise and extensive rider testing.
Responsibilities: Editing and finishing videos for multiple purposes. Brand and campaign videos (short and long form). Social media formats (Reels, Shorts, Stories, TikTok, YouTube). Tech Talks and educational content. Paid ads and performance content. Product videos and animations. Executing and evolving each brand’s individual video design language. Enhancing videos with motion graphics, typography, simple animations, and visual effects. Color correction / basic color grading and sound editing. Preparing and exporting videos optimized for different platforms and formats. Keeping up with social media and video trends to create relevant, high‑performing content. Shooting video content for in‑house productions, e.g. in the B&M studio. Occasionally participating in photo and video shoots, including on‑location productions. Supporting productions with a strong understanding of post‑production requirements during filming. Ensuring structured post‑production workflows, clean file management, versioning, and efficient collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Requirements: Digital native with strong awareness of current video trends, formats, and platforms. 3+ years of professional experience in video editing / post production. Very good command of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro, After Effects. Confident handling of different codecs, resolutions, and delivery requirements. Strong sense of timing, rhythm, storytelling, and visual aesthetics. Reliable, self‑organized, and able to work independently as a freelancer. You create high-performing social media visuals, think video-first, use modern (including AI-supported) tools, and ensure that our shows shine digitally just as emotionally as they do on stage. You combine design, moving image and innovation.
Responsibilities: Digital & Social Media: Design social media creatives (posts, stories, reels, ads). Conceptualize, shoot and edit short-form video content. Develop performance-driven video assets – ideally with AI support. Create reel covers and campaign visuals. Design & Campaigns: Develop print and digital materials (posters, flyers, graphics, merchandise). Evolve and strengthen our visual brand identity. Visually support the positioning of our productions. Innovation & Tools: Work with modern design and AI-powered tools. Test new creative formats and platform trends. Help shape efficient production workflows.
Requirements: Degree or professional training in graphic design, media design or a related field. Experience in social media design and ideally video editing. Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or similar tools. Interest in AI-based graphic or video tools (experience is a plus, willingness to learn is equally welcome). Someone who can take a talking head video and transform it into something visually compelling through custom motion graphics, purposeful animations, and smart visual effects. Someone who understands that every element on screen should serve the content, not just fill space.
Tasks: Editing long-form YouTube videos (typically 5–10 minutes, talking head format) focused on BI methodology, frameworks, and thought leadership. YouTube channel content: framework explainer videos, methodology breakdowns, and thought leadership pieces. Creating short-form content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Meta ads (9:16 and 1:1 formats). Producing landing page and corporate videos with a clean, minimal, professional look. Repurposing long-form content into short-form clips optimized for different platforms.
Requirements: Strong motion graphics and custom animation skills (After Effects or equivalent). Proven experience in video editing for B2B or corporate content. AI-assisted workflow: You use AI tools (for transcription, rough cuts, subtitle generation, thumbnail concepts, etc.) as a default — not as an afterthought. Ownership mentality: You don't wait for feedback on obvious issues — you fix them, flag them, and move on. Proactive communication: You share progress, flag delays early, and don't disappear. Ability to maintain a consistent brand identity across different formats and platforms. Fast turnaround and reliable, structured communication. Du bringst Trends, Sounds und Plattform-Mechaniken smart in unsere Projekte ein. Du arbeitest CI-sicher, ohne dass es nach Baukasten aussieht.
Anforderungen: 3 Jahre Erfahrung im Schnitt / Motion Design / Social Content. Sehr gute Skills in Adobe After Effects (Text, Animation, Grafik-Integration). Du weißt, was eine gute Hook ausmacht – und baust sie intuitiv. Du hast ein Gefühl für Timing, Rhythmus und Trendsounds. Du kannst zwischen kreativem Chaos im Kopf und sauberem Projektfile wechseln. Du kennst die Basics im Urheberrecht und weißt, was man darf und was man besser sein lässt. Deutsch fließend in Wort & Schrift.
