We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager (m/w/d) to join a major infrastructure pipeline project at the beginning of next year. The role involves working in the offices in Kassel and Wilhelmshaven but also remotely.
Tasks: Supporting our project partner´s Head of Permitting in all environmental matters related to the offshore pipeline project. Oversight of environmental monitoring. Arrangement of compensation measures. Permitting support, and compliance with German environmental regulations. Responsible for the correct implementation of environmental requirements during planning and construction phase. Responsible for all relevant obligations aligned with project execution.
Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (4–5 years) in Marine Biology, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline (mandatory). Minimum 10 years of professional experience in environmental management on offshore pipeline projects, including at least one project in Germany (mandatory). Proven knowledge of German environmental and nature conservation legislation and approval procedures. Documented experience in EIAs, ESPOO documentation and ecological compensation measures (e.g. Natura 2000). Demonstrated experience liaising with German authorities, NGOs and environmental consultants. Willingness to travel as required. Full professional proficiency in English and German (spoken and written)
