We are currently looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer (Rail Vehicles – Yellow Fleet) for an ongoing international railway project in Turkey (Istanbul / Sakarya). This is a long-term on-site engagement within an Engineering-to-Order (ETO) environment, supporting commissioning activities at a manufacturing partner delivering special railway vehicles. You will support the execution of commissioning activities for special railway vehicles ("Yellow Fleet”) in a small-series production environment. The focus lies on static commissioning, system validation, and troubleshooting, ensuring stable and efficient vehicle integration at the manufacturing site.
Responsibilities: Execution of static commissioning activities on full vehicle level. Commissioning and testing of subsystems, including: Power Packs, Brake Systems, Electrical Systems, Vehicle Control Systems (e.g. Selectron). Troubleshooting and root cause analysis on system level. Support of commissioning sequencing and system integration. Coordination with on-site teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Ensuring fast and structured resolution of technical issues. Documentation of commissioning results and deviations. Supporting knowledge transfer and guidance of local teams. Close collaboration with engineering, project management, and production.
Requirements: Strong experience in rail vehicle commissioning. Proven background in Yellow Fleet / special railway vehicles. Experience in small-series or low-volume commissioning environments. Solid electrical and system-level understanding. Hands-on experience in static commissioning (vehicle level). Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Experience working in international production environments. Fluent English required. Turkish and/or German is a plus.
Start: asap (project already running). Location: Turkey (Istanbul / Sakarya, on-site required). Duration: 12 Months.
