For an artificial energy island project with offshore transmission infrastructure in the Belgian coast in the North Sea, we are looking for a Cable Supply Inspector to monitor, supervise and verify the safe compliant manufacturing and testing activities at the cable manufacturers factory in Athens.
Tasks: Act as the primary liaison between the client and the contractor during manufacturing and testing operations. Monitor and report on daily activities. Verify that operations are conducted according to the clinets requirements, approved project procedures, test plans and risk assessments. Ensure full compliance with applicable HSE guidelines and intervene when safety is compromised. Review and comment on contractor reporting, including daily progress reports, disposal logs, and as-built documentation. Witness critical operations. Ensure proper documentation, including logbooks, photographic evidence and contractor deliverables. Maintain transparent communication with the client's project team. Assist with audits, inspections, and visits by authorities, certifiers or third parties.
Requirements: You have at least 5 years of relevant working experience. Experience in subsea power cable manufacturing factories. Experience as a factory client representative. In depth knowledge of international standards (e.g. CIGRE, IEC etc). Completed a degree as an Engineer or Technician. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Excellent MS Office skills.
