We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper / accounting analyst to support a historical clean-up of FY 2023 accounts for a German entity, purely for consolidation purposes with a UK parent company.
Tasks: Review and clean up FY 2023 accounting data. Reconcile bank, AR/AP, payroll and control accounts. Prepare P&L and Balance Sheet up to Trial Balance. Deliver reconciliations and supporting schedules. Handover for consolidation with the company’s UK accounts.
Requirements: Proven experience delivering trial balance clean-ups. Comfortable working with incomplete or legacy data. Strong Excel skills. Able to work independently under time pressure. Comfortable with closed company-adjacent or historical clean-up work. Own access to an accounting software.
The German operating business is closed. Work is historical only (FY 2023). No statutory submissions, filings, or audit sign-off required. Any accounting software experience acceptable.
Start: Immediate. Duration: Short-term project (approx. 2–3 weeks). Deadline: Trial Balance for FY 2023 required by 2 January 2026. Location: Fully remote.
