We are seeking an Art Handling & Storage Assistant with experience in art handling to start as soon as possible in Berlin Alt-Treptow (hours negotiable, preferably 3-4 days per week)
Responsibilities: Assisting the storage manager with daily tasks. Preparing and packing of artworks for transport as well as handling incoming and outgoing shipments. Preparing condition reports. Installing artworks for photo shoots and studio visits. Monitoring and documenting the movement of artworks under the supervision of the storage manager. Performing minor repairs.
Requirements: Experience in art handling. Physical strength, as the position involves regularly moving heavy artworks and materials. Quick comprehension skills, with a structured and precise approach to work. Technical and manual skills. Good English and German language skills required. Valid Class B driver’s license required. Forklift license is an advantage but not mandatory.
