Our German team is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Financial Accountant to take ownership of daily accounting operations and ensure financial accuracy across our international network.
Responsibilities: Independently and accurately manage all incoming (AP) and outgoing (AR) invoices on time. Maintain ongoing general ledger entries and ensure proper documentation of all business transactions. Prepare and review monthly payroll data in collaboration with external service providers and ensure accurate booking of payroll entries. Manage payment runs and perform regular reconciliations of bank, supplier, and customer accounts. Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB standards. Ensure adherence to local tax regulations, VAT requirements, and internal financial procedures.
Requirements: Completed commercial training or degree in Accounting or Finance. Several years of experience in full-cycle accounting (AP, AR, general ledger, payroll, taxation, bank and account reconciliations, payments, month-end, and year-end closings), preferably in a small or medium-sized company or within an international group structure. Solid understanding of HGB, VAT, and local tax regulations. Confident use of ERP and accounting systems, and proficiency in MS Excel for reconciliations, analysis, and reporting. Strong attention to detail with the ability to understand the broader financial context; proactive in identifying discrepancies and proposing process improvements. Clear and professional communication style; able to collaborate effectively with management and colleagues. German (written and spoken) and good command of English (working proficiency) to communicate internationally.
